Glem Dias runs a leadership strategy practice that advises Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies. He consults in the areas of executive development and shaping the next generation of leaders. He also teaches executive education and is the Director of the Global Talent Centre at Schulich Executive Education Centre, York University. He and his wife Vinitha live in Mississauga with their children Jerica (Grade 12) and Nathaniel (Grade 9), both at King’s. The Dias family worships at Catch the Fire, Toronto.
Christy Mack and her husband live in Burlington with their four children: Lauren (Kings, Grade 11); Jacob (King’s, Grade 10) and Daniel and Clara who attend Christian elementary school. Christy’s background is in education, teaching for both the Toronto and Thames Valley District School Boards. She completed her M. Ed. in Educational Psychology and Special Education at the University of Western Ontario. More recently she held the role of VP and Learning Resource Teacher in the Christian elementary school system. She now enjoys supply teaching and literacy consulting. The Macks are members of Faith Christian Reformed Church where Christy serves as a GEMS Girls’ Club leader.
John Wilkening and his wife Lea live in Oakville with their children Jack (9th grade at King’s) and Josh (7th grade at John Knox Christian School). John and his family moved to Canada in 2011 from Chicago. John works in finance for Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited. The Wilkening family worships at Clearview Christian Reformed Church in Oakville.
David Klassen and his wife Karen live in Mississauga with their son Ben, who graduated from King’s in 2017. Their daughter, Erica, is a Nova Scotia paramedic. David is a corporate lawyer with Axiom and works as a consultant to local and international businesses and not-for-profit organizations. The Klassens are active members of Clarkson Community Church, where Karen serves as Discipleship Pastor.
Reinhard Dotzlaw is an Audit Partner with KPMG Canada and is also KPMG International’s Global IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) Leader. He and his wife Marlene have been members of King’s since 2012 and have two children, Andrew and Emily, who graduated from King’s in 2016. The Dotzlaw family worships at the Church of God in Hamilton.
Karen Glass and her husband John Ferguson live In Oakville with their children Dylan (graduated 2013), MacKenzie (graduated 2016), and Liam (2018). Karen is an Assistant Deputy Minister with Ontario Public Services where she focuses on developing and measuring public policy across government with particular expertise in social policy and innovative collaborative strategies. Karen and her family are active members of Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville where she is a trustee for their Memorial Trust and a teacher in the children’s ministry.
Danielle Kamerman and her family live in Oakville. Both Danielle and her husband David grew up attending Christian schools and continue to support Christian education. They have 3 sons: Jake (2018 King’s graduate), Caleb (Grade 9 at King’s), and Jordan who attends John Knox Christian School. Danielle is a Registered Nurse and works in Family Practice Medicine. The family is a member of Clearview Christian Reformed Church where Danielle has been a youth leader for the past 8 years.
Bruce Sonnenberg and his wife Sandy live in Oakville with their children Jaedon (King’s Grad in 2019). Larissa (grade 10 at King’s) and Savannah (grade 7 at John Knox Christian School) and have been members of King’s since 2014. Bruce is Vice President and District Manager with PCL Constructors Canada Inc., responsible for district operations in the GTA and southwestern Ontario. The Sonnenberg family worships at the Church of God in Hamilton.
Jill Henderson McDermott
Jill Henderson McDermott and her husband Bryan live in Oakville with their children. Their son Alton is a King’s grad (2019).They have two other children, a daughter Brynley and son Logan. Jill is an artist and interior designer in commercial and retail design. She received her BAA in Interior Design from Ryerson University. Jill has her own company in.originate. The McDermott family attends Trinity Anglican Church in Streetsville.
Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer and his wife Mimi have been members of the King’s Community since September 2012. They have 4 sons: Charles, King’s class of 2016, and Eduard, who graduated in 2019. Lucas attends King’s in Grade 12, and Oliver in Grade 10. Jean-Louis and Mimi came to Canada in 1999, having lived and worked in numerous European countries. Jean-Louis has extensive experience in retail and investments and continues to serve on many boards including the Porticus Charitable Foundation.
