High School Music Program Support (Part-time)


This is a part-time role, beginning August 18, 2025. Application deadline: June 25

Would you love to combine your musical training with the fun of working with high school musicians?

A Music Support Specialist uses their expertise in instrumental and/or vocal music settings to help lead ensembles, build community, and provide administrative and logistical support to the music program. This person works collaboratively with the Director of Music to implement the vision for the program each year. This person is encouraging, a community builder, and someone who values the intrinsic joyful, sacred, creative, and relational nature of music. This person can expect to:

• Lead an ensemble and/or co-lead a few ensembles with the Music Director
• Collaborate on rehearsal planning and repertoire choices
• Provide administrative support (instrument care and repair, student communication, drafting graphics, assisting with trip/festival planning)
• Share in mentoring student leaders and building community both in rehearsal and through music room activities and casual interactions
• Provide support with organization of instruments, sheet music, and equipment in the music room

This position is for 10-15 hours per week, including most Friday mornings from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. Work will normally be done in the school building, but a small portion may be done remotely from time to time.
