Jeff Bergsma lives with his family in Milton where he and his wife Sara own and operate Bergsma’s Paint and Decor. Jeff is also a partner with C2 Paint -The Coatings Alliance where he serves as Chair of the Board. Their daughter Victoria graduated from King’s in 2015, Emily in 2017, and Maddy is in Grade 11. Jeff is a committed supporter of Christian education and continues as a founding Board member of Milton Christian School. The family attends The Meeting House in Oakville.
Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer and his wife Mimi have been members of the King’s Community since September 2012. They have 4 sons, with Charles, King’s Class of 2016; Lucas in Grade 11 at King’s; and Eduard and Oliver attending other Christian schools. Jean-Louis and Mimi came to Canada in 1999 having lived and worked in numerous European countries. Jean-Louis has extensive experience in retail and investments and has continues to serve on many boards including the Porticus Charitable Foundation. The family attends Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Oakville.
Glem Dias runs a leadership strategy practice that advises Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies. He consults in the areas of executive development and shaping the next generation of leaders. He also teaches executive education and is the Director of the Global Talent Centre at Schulich Executive Education Centre, York University. He and his wife Vinitha live in Mississauga with their children Jerica (Grade 10 at King’s) and Nathaniel (Grade 6 at John Knox). The Dias family worships at Catch the Fire, Toronto.
Reinhard Dotzlaw is the National Managing Partner, Audit Professional Practice for KPMG Canada. He is a voting member of the IFRS Interpretations Committee which assists the International Accounting Standards Board in improving financial reporting. He and his wife Marlene have been members of King’s since 2013 and have two children, Andrew and Emily, who graduated from King’s in 2016. The Dotzlaw family worships at the Church of God in Hamilton.
Karen Glass and her husband John Ferguson live In Oakville with their children Dylan (graduated 2013), MacKenzie (graduated 2016), and Liam (Grade 12 at King’s). Karen is an Assistant Deputy Minister with Ontario Public Services where she focuses on developing and measuring public policy across government with particular expertise in social policy and innovative collaborative strategies. Karen and her family are active members of Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville, where she is a trustee for their Memorial Trust and a teacher in the children’s ministry.
Danielle Kamerman and her family live in Oakville. Both Danielle and her husband David grew up attending Christian schools and continue to support Christian education. They have 3 boys. Their son Jake is in Grade 11 at King’s and both Caleb and Jordan attend John Knox Christian School. While Danielle has taken a year off to manage the home front, she has enjoyed a 20 year career in Occupational Health Nursing. The family are members of Clearview Christian Reformed Church where Danielle has been a youth leader for the past 6 years.
John Lovelock has been a research Vice President and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner for the last 12 years and has over 30 years of expertise in Information Technology. His daughter Jessica graduated from King’s in 2009 and graduated from the University of Toronto in the engineering program in 2014. John and his wife Vesna live in Oakville and worship at St. Ignatius Loyola. John is the current Board Vice-Chair.
Ian Scarlett, B.Com., M.B.A., J.D. and his wife Mary-Cathryn live in Oakville with their three children. Kyle is a 2014 King’s graduate, Kyra a 2016 graduate and Kyna is in grade 10. Ian has degrees from McGill University and the University of Toronto. He works as a corporate/commercial lawyer and is the managing partner of a business law firm, Loopstra Nixon LLP. Ian has been active in the Oakville volunteer community for over a decade and a Board member since 2011. His family attends Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Oakville. Ian is the current Board Chairperson.
